Licensed and Trained Dog Walker
I was beyond thrilled to have come across Tracy and her team at The Sophisticated Dog while I was dealing with a medical issue and was not able to walk my two dogs. It gave me so much peace of mind to know that my dogs needs would be taken care of every single day. My dogs loved her, they were so happy to see her each day and they loved their walks. One of my dogs, Daisy, was a little crazy and unpredictable, and difficult for me to walk, yet Tracy and her team walked Daisy with ease.
As a foster dog mom, I’ve had the pleasure of consulting Tracy on behavioral issues. I have complete confidence in her vast knowledge of dogs and her ability to deal with behavioral issues. She has contributed to the development of some very well adjusted dogs.

My mother passed away in April, and I became her dog Patti’s owner. I have a dog and four cats. What to do? I contacted Tracy at Sophisticated Dog for advice and guidance. Tracy visited us, met the fur family, and offered caring and compassionate suggestions. I wanted Patti to feel loved and special. She had suffered a great loss and was now entering new surroundings. Patti is 10 years old.
The Sophisticated Dog walkers have eased my mind. Each day, while I am at work, they arrive to take Patti outside, for a walk and playtime. Patti feels special. She is loved.

Tracy is really just the best dog walker I could ask for. My 10yr old rescue dog Bullet is a little nervous and shy around strangers. He is also not very interested in other dogs. Tracy took the time to properly introduce herself and Marita; and now he is very excited to see them when they come by. Tracy always gives me a very detailed description of the walk, and even manages to snap some awesome pictures! Tracy is also very accommodating to my hectic schedule which I really appreciate. Overall I would highly recommend Tracy’s company to anyone looking for someone who is very knowledgeable, experienced and caring.

The Sophisticated Dog walking services has been exceptional and we couldn’t be happier with them. We have lived in many different cities (Toronto, Edmonton, London) and have had the chance to experience many different dog walking services – this one, by far, is the best.
The initial meeting allowed us to meet all the staff and see how our dogs interacted with them. They customized our experience by picking a walker that best suited our dogs. They were flexible on timing of the walks and most important you can tell they truly care about our fur kids. Tracy Wood (the owner) is very organized, professional, knowledgeable and her sincere passion for dogs set her apart from the rest. Our favourite is the journal with daily notes on how the walk went that day – as soon as we walk into the house we check out the journal to see what fun interactions our dogs had. The little extras they provide like photos of the dogs during the walk truly make our day. We could not recommend a better dog walking service!

I highly recommend Tracy and her staff! Tracy walked into our lives just over a year ago, at a time that Nika was unhappy and not behaving well and we were so frustrated and unsure what the future held. We had had northern breeds before but never a Nika! Hiring Tracy was the very best decision we could have made for our family, we are enjoying and loving our fur baby (all hundred pounds plus of her) and in return she is a much happier well rounded member of our family. Every day is not perfect but Tracy is always available to answer questions or concerns, I love the fact that Tracy is always honest and only has Nika’s best interests at heart. She even told me when I had been feeding Nika recalled treats, that meant the world to me and shows me how much she actually cares for her clients. Nika absolutely loves her adventures with Tracy or Marita, she goes for two, 1 hour adventures once a week. Moms favorite part is the journal, after each adventure Tracy or Marita leave a note in Nika’s journal so mom knows how things went, and the pictures on Facebook, I really love those. Although I don’t really have to read the journal as Nika tells me all about her adventures with howls of joy when I am reading her journal. We plan on being clients for many years to come.

WOW what a fantastic bunch! Tracy and her walkers are just wonderful with Jack our year old Mastiff/lab mix. He can be a handful at times (given his size and age) but they are incredibly patient with him. Even teaching him some new manners! It is a huge piece of mind for our family of straight day workers that professional people that genuinely care about Jack take him out midday for a fun walk!
They even take the time to write us a note each day to let us know how Jack performed (or in some cases didn’t, haha) during his walk. We have fun reading about Jacks day as a family during dinner!
Tracy has also been wonderful at giving us guidance when Jack needs some redirection. For example; Tracy let us know that when a bike passed him he was spooked. This was new to all of us as he never displayed this fear before. Tracy walked us through some methods/diversions to try and they worked like a charm!

When first considering getting a dog walker, I was nervous about permitting someone into my home when I’m not there and letting them take precious Rosie out without me. When meeting Tracy, all of my fears were put to rest. From the first moment she was incredibly professional, and arrived at our meeting on time and with legal paperwork in hand. She explained in detail her impressive background with animals and all the precautions she and her staff take to ensure pet safety. After the first day dog walking, we received a detailed email about how the first walk went, including pet behaviours and interests. Each day they leave a detailed note of how the walk went and any important information we should know. I cannot imagine permitting anyone else to be our dog walker after having Tracy and her staff. They are diligent, flexible and caring. They have been teaching Rosie new lessons and take beautiful pictures of her out on walks. Rosie is always thrilled to see them. I am so happy that we found Tracy and her professionalism is unrivaled in the Sarnia-Lambton area. Thank you so much to Tracy and her team for taking such amazing care of my sweet fur baby!

A while ago much wife and I were looking for a professional and reliable person to look after our furry friends while we were on vacation. We saw a posting from Tracy online and we haven’t looked back. The level of professionalism Tracy shows impressed us right from the start. And her knowledge about dogs, their behaviour and how to handle them is unmatched. We have had Tracy dog sit for us on several occasions and every time she exceeds our expectations, playing with our dog in the back yard and even walking him in the pouring rain, she genuinely loves what she does and it shows. She even takes time out of her busy schedule to send us short email updates just to let us know how things are going. The best part for us is that our dog generally is shy towards most people but he took to Tracy like he knew her his whole life.
